Andreas Erbs Hillers-Bendtsen receives an EliteForsk travel scholarship

PhD student, cand. scientist in chemistry Andreas Erbs Hillers-Bendtsen receives a travel grant for a project on "Exploration and design of molecular systems for the utilization of solar energy".

Andreas Erbs Hillers-Bendtsen
Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen wishes PhD student Andreas Erbs Hillers-Bendtsen congratulations on the Ministry of Education and Research EliteForsk travel scholarship of DKK 200,000. The EliteForsk travel scholarship aims to contribute to very talented PhD students being able to have a long-term study stay at the very best research environments in the world.

"The EliteForsk travel scholarship will support my stay abroad at Stanford University in the USA during 2022-23. Here I will visit one of the world's leading research groups in the description of photochemical and photophysical processes that are essential for utilizing solar energy," says Andreas, he continues "I want to expand my knowledge of these methods both theoretically and programming-wise, as they at Stanford University also specialize in utilizing graphics cards to accelerate quantum chemical calculations. It is also a great opportunity to expand my network internationally and thus strengthen my future career opportunities in research ".
